How to get to Prom

Prom is right around the corner for a lot of people and a lot of people are wondering how they're going to get to prom. Well, there's really only two choices. You can either take a  limousine or you/your date drive. With a limousine usually you only take one for senior prom, but if your date is a senior and/or you are going with a big group then you could take one. The problem with limousines are that you have to pay for a certain amount of time between certain hours. Usually the later the hours run the more expensive it can get. You don't want to take a limousine from six to nine o'clock. Then you'd have to be home by nine. If you're going to an after party then that could work. You could go home and drive yourself to the after party. If you and your date are juniors then your date or you could just drive. Then there would be no expensive limousine prices and you can go where you want at whatever time you want. I hope this helped you in finding the perfect way to prom for you!

Human Trafficking

There is more and more human trafficking going on everyday. More places are starting to start human trafficking in the U.S. and even all over the world. The most common places for human trafficking are....

ATLANTA- Atlanta is the number one place for human trafficking. Twelve million people and one million children are forced into human trafficking.

CHICAGO- 16,000 woman at least are in human trafficking in Chicago.

DALLAS- 119 Number of minors exploited for commercial sex identified by the Dallas Police Department in 2007

LAS VEGAS- 400 Number of minor sex trafficking victims identified on the streets of Las Vegas in May 2007 alone.

TAMPA- 400 minors were involved in human trafficking between 2004-2006

Bullying

Bullying has become a serious epidemic in schools all across the United States. Sadly, one of the most popular new fads is self harm, which is directly linked to bullying. Bullying doesn't happen at a specific age, to specific people or in a specific place in the world: it happens everywhere to everyone. It isn't just kids and teens, either: adults do it to each other, and even parents to their children, making those children future bullies. Bullying is a vicious, never-ending cycle, and will continue unless something is done. 

There was three types of bullying. These are types of bulling Physically, Verbally, or Cyber bullying.

PHYSICAL BULLYING: Physically bullying is probably the most known type of bullying. Physical bullying can consist of hitting and beating up someone. Everyone always thinks that bullying is just a part of growing up, but it has become a big problem not just in the physical bullying part. 

VERBAL BULLYING: Verbal bullying is another type of bulling. Verbal bulling is like harassing someone or making fun of someone. Making fun of someone all the time can take a toll on the victim. They're self esteem could go down a lot. 

CYBER BULLYING: Cyber bullying just started coming around when people started using the internet to communicate with people. More and more people cyber bully because they think that they won't get in trouble for it or they can post it instead of saying to the victim in person. Cyber bullying is becoming more and more of problem. It might even be more of a problem than physical bullying. 

STOP BULLYING!  

Ways to be a Good Athlete

It takes a lot to be a good athlete no matter what sport it is.

ENJOY THE SPORT: If you enjoy the sport that you do then you'll always try 110% at it no matter what. You always want to try at the sport, so that you can get better. If you work hard in practice then it will pay off in the game. If you don't enjoy the sport then you won't try. 

GET FRIENDS TO JOIN: Get friends to join the team. It's always more fun with friends around. If your friends already have a sport they play then you'll just make new friends. You can never have too many friends.



When I went around to awk people that their favorite sport is most said that it was the NBA. One person said the NBA because the game is always moving. Another said their favorite sport is NFL because there are hot football players. Also, someone said they liked NBA more because they can relate to it more. 

Birthday Present Poll

I went around asking people if they'd rather get money, a gift card, or an actual gift as a birthday present.When I asked people most of them said money. The people that said an actual gift said an actual gift because it shows that the person actually thought about the gift and what to get you. No one said a gift card. When I asked why they said because you can only spend a certain amount of money in one place. The majority said money because then they can spend it anywhere.

Birthday Presents

My birthday just passed this week and everyone was asking me what I wanted, but I couldn't think of anything to tell them. Usually I know what I want, but this year I couldn't. Some of you may be the same way. So here are some ideas of birthday gifts to give.

1. MONEY: Money is always a good gift to give, but it doesn't seem like you really thought about the gift very much. If you give them money then they can use it anywhere they like. Money gives them lots of options. Money will always be a good option, but if they're a really good friend then money might not be the best idea. You might want to give them something a little more personal.

2. PICTURE: If you're a girl and you want to give something to one of your other girl friends then a picture in a frame that you decorated would be nice. Find a picture of you and your friend that you like the best and buy a frame that's plain that you could decorate. Maybe make the frame their favorite color or paint it in their favorite color. They'll keep it forever and always think back to the day you took the picture and remember the memories.

3. GIFT CARDS: Gift cards may be a good idea. Personally, I don't really like gift cards that much because if you only get twenty-five dollars to Hollister Co. you can't really buy anything there for twenty-five dollars, so you'll have to wait until you get enough money to buy something. If your friend might like gift cards then buy them a gift card to one of their favorite stores.

4. JEWELRY: For girls jewelry is always a good gift. You could get them a ring, bracelets, or necklaces. You could buy them a friendship bracelet. If your friend doesn't really wear jewelry, then that might not be the best gift for them. You want something that they'll wear.
